About Matthew

Matthew Jarmer is a Lawrence, Kansas based artist and woodworker specializing in custom furniture and fine art. Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Kansas State University. He worked as a print designer for over ten years before transitioning to woodworking in 2017.

Currently, Matthew works out of the East Side Woodshop - located in Lawrence’s Warehouse Arts District. He uses locally sourced wood, traditional techniques, and modern style to create one-of-a-kind heirloom quality pieces.
