About Matthew

Matthew Jarmer is a Lawrence, Kansas-based artist and woodworker specializing in custom furniture and fine art. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kansas State University, Matthew transitioned from a decade-long career in print design to woodworking in 2017. Working from the East Side Woodshop in Lawrence’s Warehouse Arts District, he combines traditional techniques with modern design, crafting one-of-a-kind, heirloom-quality pieces from locally sourced and exotic woods.
